Terms of Service
The short version: use Kindiro in good faith, don't break the law or the service, and we'll do our best to keep it running. The longer version is below.
1. Who we are
Kindiro is operated by tatooine technology ltd, a ltd company in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected]. In these terms, "we" / "us" means Kindiro; "you" means you.
2. What Kindiro does
Kindiro is a small web app for sharing trip expenses and a simple itinerary with a group of friends. You create a trip, invite the others, log who paid for what, and at the end the app works out the fewest transfers needed to settle up.
That's the whole product. It isn't a bank, a payments processor, a general accounting tool, or a travel agency.
3. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. We store your email address, a display name, and (optionally) your Google avatar. You can delete your account by emailing us; see the Privacy Policy for how deletions are handled.
You're responsible for the activity on your account. If someone else gets access to your Google account they can impersonate you on Kindiro too — treat it accordingly.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Kindiro for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful. Don't try to break it, scrape it, or run it at a scale it wasn't designed for. Don't upload content that isn't yours to share or that misrepresents a real financial obligation someone else owes.
We can suspend or remove accounts that violate the spirit of this section, at our discretion.
5. Your content
Trip names, descriptions, expenses, payments, schedule items, hero images — you own what you create. You grant us a limited licence to store it and to display it to the other members of the trip so the app can do its job.
We don't use your content for training, advertising, or anything else. If you delete a trip or your account, we delete what we can; see the Privacy Policy for the detail.
6. Availability
Kindiro is a small, early-stage service. We run it best-effort on managed infrastructure in the EU. There's no uptime guarantee, and we don't promise every feature will stay the same. We'll try not to lose your data and will announce breaking changes in advance where we can.
7. Settlement isn't money movement
When Kindiro tells you "Bob owes Alice £40", it's doing arithmetic on numbers you entered. Transferring the actual £40 is still up to you and Bob — bank transfer, cash, Venmo, whatever. We don't hold, move, or process money at any point.
8. No warranty, limited liability
Kindiro is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for lost profits, lost data, lost friendships, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. For material changes we'll do our best to email signed-in users; for minor corrections we won't. Continued use of Kindiro after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that if you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you can also bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.
11. Contact
Questions, complaints, or data requests — email [email protected]. We read everything; we usually reply within a few days.
