Everything we get asked, in one place. If your question isn't here, the bottom of the page has an email address.
A planner and a fair-share splitter for small-group trips — the schedule and the spending live in the same place.
Friends going away together. Families on holiday. Stag and hen weekends. Work offsites where everyone pays their own way. Roughly: any group of 3–50 people sharing costs across a few days.
No. Kindiro runs in any browser, on phone or desktop. There's no native app yet — and the web app is good enough that we're not in a hurry to build one.
Two minutes for the trip itself; ten or fifteen if you're adding a real schedule. The first expense takes about six seconds.
No. We calculate who owes whom. The actual transfers happen on Revolut, Wise, your bank app, or whatever your group already uses.
We sum each person's net position — what they paid for the group minus their share of what was paid for them — then match the biggest debtor to the biggest creditor and repeat. The result is the fewest possible transfers to clear the trip.
Each expense stays in the currency it was paid in. We don't apply a baked-in conversion. Settlement runs per currency — so a trip with GBP and EUR ends with two separate settlement plans, no surprise FX losses.
Your bank or Revolut can do that on the way out, at the rate they actually charge you. We'd rather you saw the real number than one we made up.
Yes. Equal split is the default; you can also do exact amounts ("Léa owes £40, Tom owes £20, the rest split the remainder") or percentages.
They're only on the hook for expenses that include them. Older expenses, where they weren't there, don't get retro-applied.
The trip stays on read-only. Expenses, schedule, settlement plan — all archived in your account, searchable later. Useful for the family member who insists the maths was wrong in November.
Schedule is optional. You can use Kindiro purely as a splitter if you want. But linking expenses to scheduled events is what lets you ask things like 'what did Saturday cost?' and get an answer.
Each scheduled event with a place gets a pin. The pins live on a map of the trip area. It's a view of where the day takes you, not a navigation app.
The trip owner and any co-owners can edit the schedule. Plain members can view it and log expenses against events, but the schedule itself is locked to keep it from drifting mid-trip. Promote someone to co-owner if you want a co-pilot.
Send them the trip link in WhatsApp, Signal, email — anywhere. They open it, sign in (free, just an email link — no password), and they're in.
Yes. Everyone on a trip signs in. There's no guest mode — but the account is free and signing in is just a one-tap email link, so the friction is light.
Up to ten today, while everything's free. The bigger-groups tier (£1 per traveller) will lift the cap to fifty when it ships — see /pricing for where that's going.
Yes. If they had no expenses against them, they vanish cleanly. If they did, you can either reassign or absorb their share into the rest of the group.
For groups of ten or fewer, yes — forever, on every trip. No credit card, no "trial expired" emails.
Hosting, support, the app being kept alive. It's a one-off fee per traveller per trip — not a subscription. We don't charge between trips.
The organiser pays once at trip start, the trip is unlocked for everyone. If you want to split the cost across the group, that's just another expense in the trip.
Yes. Within seven days of paying, we refund without questions. Beyond that, email us and we'll usually say yes.
No. We don't see or touch the money — we have no way to take a cut even if we wanted to.
On servers in Frankfurt, Germany. We run on Render (hosting) and Supabase (database + auth) — both EU-region. Trip content doesn't leave that boundary.
No, to anyone. We don't have advertisers, we don't have "travel partners", and no AI companies are training models on what you typed. The customer is the customer.
Yes — email us at [email protected] and we'll delete it for you. There's no self-serve button yet (we're a small team and account-deletion is rare enough that the manual step keeps us honest about what really gets removed). Everything goes when we do it: your trips, your expenses, your settlements. No "backups for tax reasons".
Trip content is visible to everyone in the trip. Your profile (name, picture) is visible to anyone you share a trip with. Nothing else is shared anywhere.
A small team working out of a shed in London. We started it because we kept losing track of who paid for what on our own trips.
English only today. We might add a little je ne sais quoi in French one day.
We answer every email — usually the same day, always within two. No ticketing systems, no chatbots.
No card required. EU-hosted. Leave any time.
